Right, now that the back
end of the M45 supercharger has been removed; we are going to inspect it thoroughly.
Outcome is not good; looks like the gear will have to be discarded and a
completely new one manufactured. No one sells these gears! The fork gear in the
back plate that drives the water pump is completely seized. We will worry about
that later though.
The picture below
shows the seized fork gears. So bad in fact they don't even turn. Nice!
A thorough bath in penetrating
oil for 72hours will aid in the disassembly and final cleaning!
